Under the P.E.R.L.A. project, financed by PO Italia-Francia Marittimo 2007-2013 and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FESR), Conservatoria delle Coste has developed the following activities.

Accessibility to the sea
Conservatoria delle Coste has signed a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Cuglieri to initiate safety measures and works to improve accessibility in the marine hamlets S'Archittu and Santa Caterina di Pittinuri. The work is aimed at improving the sea paths which have become damaged and dangerous for visitors due to the corrosive effects of the sea and the passage of time.

Removing the Torregrande architectural barriers
Conservatoria delle Coste has signed a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Oristano to create paths to allow access to the sea and to remove the architectural barrier along the Eleonora d’Arborea seafront in Torregrande (OR).
Torregrande marina is highly popular with bathers and visitors in the summer months, due to its regular morphology and the numerous tourist services available. Notwithstanding, this hamlet is a weak point that needs addressing in order to guarantee full and safe access to the sea, for all people including the physically disabled.
The work aims to implement a series of solutions to make it easier for bathers and visitors to reach the beach by creating paths from the coastal parking and the removal of architectural barriers. The project foresees the removal of existing obstacles on routes to the sea, and the installation of prefabricated connecting modules between the seafront and the coast to improve the descent for disabled people.
The works will take place in the area facing the tower recently entrusted for valorisation to Conservatoria delle Coste.

Access to the coast
Thanks to a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Cabras, Conservatoria delle Coste has funded works for the requalification of coastal access and safeguard at risk areas in the marina suburbs of San Giovanni di Sinis on the Marine Protected Peninsula of Sinis Island of Mal di Ventre. The project considered the irregular rock face along the beach and the long steep bank which forms a peak on the coast. The chosen works will be a series of solutions to improve access for beach users by constructing a wooden path, and prohibiting access via the steep bank by installing protective wooden fencing on the cliff. Moreover, the project aims to strengthen coastal access by defining a path running along the cliff and the arrangement of areas around the entrances to the beach.
The project objective is to create works aiming to reduce coastal risk for users and improve access conditions to the sea.
